This is our greeting in Las Vegas.  Not shown are the hundreds of slot machines in the airport's public waiting area. Gambling machines were everywhere.

Aerial view, Stratosphere Hotel, Las Vegas This is an aerial view of the Stratosphere Hotel, the tallest building in Las Vegas and Nevada. This hotel is at the north end of the famous "Strip" of hotels.

This is an aerial view of Las Vegas. Our hotel, the Luxor, the dark pyramid in the upper left corner. This picture was taken from a small airplane on our way to the Grand Canyon.

Las Vegas desert area The Las Vegas desert area. What it was before the city was built on the meadows ("las vegas").
This is our hotel, the Luxor Las Vegas, as seen from the back. The hotel is built in the shape of a pyramid and has "inclinators", elevators that move sideways. You can compare this to the real pyramids of Egypt. Luxor Hotel Pyramid, Las Vegas
Inside the Luxor Hotel This is on the inside of our hotel, the Luxor Las Vegas. It had dozens of murals and carvings.
This is the Sphinx at the front of the Luxor. The beam of light at the top is the beacon from the top of the pyramid. It is the brightest light on earth. You can compare this to the real Sphinx of Egypt. Sphinx at Luxor Hotel
Naimah in Pyramid Room This is Naimah sitting in our hotel room. All of the pyramid rooms have one wall that is at a 48 slope from the side of the pyramid.

Hoover Dam We rented a car and visited the Hoover Dam, about 40 minutes east of Las Vegas.

London Bridge reassembled in Arizona The full span of the London Bridge. This waterway was built as an extension from Lake Havasu specifically to run under the re-located bridge.
